Since 2010 my father, Ewen Scott Mackenzie has been a resident at Nirvana.

I wanted you to know that my family could not be more impressive with the incredible staff looking after him and the care and kindness they show not only my Dad, but my mother who is a regular visitor.

We see Ann, Lois, Cindy, Phillipa, Heather, Josie, Margaret, Andree (to name a few) as been part of our extended family who are not only interested in Dad's welfare, but our family - no mean feat given that I'm from a very large family.

In January, when visiting my Dad on her birthday, my mother was presented with a bouquet of flowers from the staff. This kind and thoughtful gesture brought tears to my mother's eyes - not something I've seen very often as she comes from that resiliant stoic generation. She was obviously very deeply touched, as we all were.

So in a nutshell, the staff at Nirvana are worth their weight in gold as far as the Scott Mackenzie family is concerned and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. They are a rare breed.
